Career Timeline

The Path That Led Me to Directing

2019
Aspiring FBI Agent

"I aspired to be an FBI agent, so I initially majored in Criminal Justice."

2023
Changing Course to Follow Journalism

I had just one class left to graduate with a Criminal Justice degree in three years when I realized it wasn’t the right path for me. I made the decision to shift my focus to journalism and stayed for a fourth year to pursue the field that truly aligned with my passion."

2024
Pursued a Master's in Journalism

"I realized that reporting wasn’t as fulfilling as I had expected. However, through the program, I discovered a true passion for storytelling, interviewing, and being on set ultimately uncovering my interest in film and documentary filmmaking."

2025
Changing Course: Discovering My Passion for Directing, Producing, and Editing

"I was then hired at NFL Films as a seasonal producer, where I logged footage for various shows, directed segments, and pitched story ideas. That experience solidified that I am walking in my purpose and deepened my love for directing, producing, and editing."

2026
ESPN: Where I’m Continuing to
Build My Purpose and Dreams

"This journey led to me being hired at ESPN through the ESPN NEXT program as a Production Assistant, where I support 7A SportsCenter, SportsCenter+, Get Up, and First Take, while continuing to grow and advance my career toward becoming a full-time film director."

My journey to becoming a film director, producer, and editor was anything but linear. I started out studying criminal justice with dreams of becoming an FBI agent, but everything shifted the moment I picked up a camera. Capturing real moments sparked something in me, eventually leading me in front of the camera as a reporter. Even then, I never felt fully fulfilled. It wasn’t until reporting evolved into true storytelling digging deeper, finding unique perspectives, connecting with people, and recognizing that everyone has a story to share, that is when my true path began to take shape.

At Syracuse University, I was introduced to sports documentaries. The spark wasn’t immediate, but I enjoyed the craft. After graduating and gaining more hands on experience behind the camera, I realized that on camera work wasn’t where I belonged. That clarity pushed me to fully transition into documentary filmmaking and led me to NFL Films, where my passion, voice, and purpose were solidified.

I hope my journey serves as a reminder that it’s okay to pivot, to try new things, and to keep exploring until you find what truly fulfills you. Block out the noise, because what’s meant for you will NEVER miss you and if it’s your calling, it will keep calling.
